Claire's Accessories £1 Polish Sale | Part 1

As promised here is the first part of the £1 Polish markdown swatches! I picked up six shimmery colours and swatched those together for this post. Although these are technically sale you can still pick them up on the cosmetics 3 for 2 offer, but hurry as this promotion doesn't usually last for very long! You can still get most of these polishes online, links are provided at the end of this post. If not pop in to your local Claire's and they should hopefully still have some in stock :)

Let's get started! I'd like to mention I am in no way a brilliant swatcher. I've tried my best to provide an accurate representation, so uh, let's just leave it at that :P

First up is Metallic Dark Berry. This is described perfectly in the name, and is a little darker on the nails than my camera picked up. I applied two coats to achieve full coverage. There is a lovely gold shimmer in the polish, and it totally reminds me of grapes! The formula is a little on the thick side but still easy to apply.

Teal is another metallic polish that I already had in my collection before it was reduced. This is my favourite out of the bunch, it has a gorgeous teal/blue shift and looks stunning on the nail. I used two coats for full coverage. It has a similar thickness to the Metallic Berry but is still easy to apply. I always feel like a mermaid with this on!

So Couture is a beige/gold shimmer polish. I didn't go much on it but thought i'd pick it up as part of the 3 for 2 and i'm glad I did! I think it suits my skin tone really well and is perfect for a quick neutral mani. The gold shimmer flecks really stands out, especially in the sun! Formula is brilliant, shown is two coats.

Bejewelled is a bright shimmery pink, and my biggest surprise of the bunch. I'm not a pink kinda girl, at least, I never used to be. But this is just stunning! It's a really bright, deep pink with a lot of sparkle. The formula is a little more sheer than the rest, but this only took two coats for full coverage. I'll definitely be using this beauty again soon!

Jealous is another favourite of mine. It's the only one that dries to a satin matte finish, but i prefer it with a shiny top coat. The golden glitter flecks really stand out, and i think it's a perfect festive polish! It's a little sheer, shown below is two coats but I think it could have done with one more. Trust me when i say you need this polish.

Zap is the last out of the shimmery reduced polishes, and my least favourite of the bunch. There's nothing wrong with it, I just don't find the colour as exciting as the name! The formula is pretty sheer, this took three coats. Not much else to say, it's just a classic dark metallic grey which I suppose everyone should have at least one of!

So there you go! Any of those take your fancy? If i had to pick only two it would be Teal and Metallic Red. I have six more to show you tomorrow, although there were a few plain glitters that i didn't pick up, in a red, green and bronze colour. Keep an eye out for tomorrow's post if you liked this one!

I'd like to mention before I go that although I work for Claire's, all products are purchased by myself and under no obligation. All reviews and opinions are my own.

What I'm Wearing (Although, I'm Not)

Hi there!

So one way i think i can make blogging more manageable for myself is to do a little 'What I'm Wearing' post every now and again, with a few photos and just a little bit about the look. I'll still do longer posts, especially with more detailed nail art, but i think this keeps you all updated without sending me in to blogging over drive.

This is actually a look i wore the other day, as my nails right now are absolute nubbins due to FOUR breaks in one day. Yes, i very well nearly cried.

Okay, i did cry.

To create this look i used:
Claire's Accessories - Pretty (3 coats shown)
Barry M - Black and White Nail Art Pens
Seche Vite - Top Coat

It isn't the most precise or detailed manicure i've ever done but i was still quite happy with it! I know i harp on about Claire's Accessories polish quite a lot, but since they launched their new bottles they've really upped their game with colours and toppers. I feel like i've now got a big enough range of their new style polish to do a swatching post soon and really try and turn some of you in to lovers of Claire's like i am!

See you again soon,
Becky xx

£1 Polish Wednesday.. ish.

Hi guys!

As promised here is another £1PW post, just ignore the date today :P

This is another polish from Claire's Accessories, and was the first ever leather polish i purchased! I'm quite a big fan of textured polish, and ended up buying all of their collection. It's just so simple to pop on your nails, and really doesn't need any extras to bling it up!

This is three coats of the beige leather polish, and it's really easy to apply. Because it is such a light shade it did need three for full coverage, but the darker colours only need two. I think this is a great idea for a manicure for those in a professional job where bright nails aren't encouraged.. It's muted but still with a little something special. Plus you'll spend all day stroking your nails because the texture feels awesome!

What do you think, worth £1? Because this is old stock you might struggle to find any now but they have got leather polishes in their new style, with an added navy colour which is on my to buy list! I have got a polish from work to show you soon.. trust me when i say i actually squealed when i got it in delivery!

Bye for now! Becky x
