33 Day Challenge: A Pattern In Your Wardrobe

Hello!

Hope you don't mind this being a day late, hopefully it's worth it! I created a skittle manicure for this challenge, inspired by one of my favourite dresses from ASOS. 

To create this look i used:

Claire's Accessories - Un-named Black

Barry M - Black Nail Art Pen

Here's a pic of me in the dress (yes, it's a little short!) and the nails to match :) I actually tend to match nails to my outfit anyway, so this is a constant challenge for me!

I used different sections of the dress to create a different look on every nail..

Whatcha think, you like them? Might attempt some more skittle mani's in the future, they're just so time consuming!

33 Day Challenge: Follow Someone's Tutorial

Hi guys!

So today's challenge was to create a mani using someone else's tutorial. I immediately knew which look i wanted to copy, and it seems it was quite popular with the other wonderful ladies taking part in this challenge! The Nailasaurus has been a favourite blog of mine since i started getting in to nail art a few months ago. She has such a unique look and way of writing, making it easy for newbies like me to attempt manicure's like hers. So when she recently posted The Nimbus Nail Art tutorial i waited to recreate it for today's challenge.

To create this look i used:

Sinful Colors - Snow Me White (base color)

Sinful Colors - 24/7 

Claire's Accessories - Neon Orange

Miss Sporty - Popcorn

Barry M - Black Nail Art Pen

This look is BRIGHT! Unfortunately i didn't finish work until late so couldn't take photo's in natural light.. so just pretend they look brighter than they are! I also put my own little spin on it by outlining with a black nail art pen to make them pop even more..

Just thought i'd throw it out there that i only bought the Sinful Colors - 24/7 polish today and it is shhamazing! I thought it looked a little thin on the brush so assumed it would be streaky but on a quick nail swatch it just glided on gorgeously thick. I can't wait to create a bright look just with this varnish, it's my new baby!

33 Day Challenge: Mani Featuring 2 Patterns

Hello lovelies!

So this post might be a little late, but what's two days really? :P I do apologise but i've been really busy at work and just haven't had the time unfortunately. But better late than never right! It's just a simple manicure but i really like it on my nails, for some reason they look kinda french-y to me :)

So that's it, sorry it was late! Oh and i've had to change my nail shape due to a rough week in retail chipping four nails! I've rounded them off to avoid cutting them all short, i think i prefer this to the straighter tips anyway.. What's your preferred nail shape?

33 Day Challenge: Art With Your Favourite Brand

Hello!

So i'm pretty excited to share today's post with you guys! I took this challenge two ways.. favourite brand of nail polish and favourite brand in general. So i bring to you.. Sinful Colors - Ben and Jerry's nails! 

I don't think i'm alone in loving Sinful Colors right now. At only £2 for a generous sized bottle, you really can't beat the value. And despite the cheap price, every single bottle i've brought has a gorgeous colour and a really easy application. It was a no brainer to choose this brand!

33 Day Challenge: South America

Hi guys!

Now i must admit i was actually dreading this challenge as i didn't have the foggiest idea what manicure to create. However after talking to my good friend google, i finally thought of a design! My thought process went a little like this.. South America is known for > Amazon Rainforest. Amazon is known for > Lots of interesting animals. Amazon animals on google > Tree frog. And uh, that's what i went with!

33 Day Challenge: Animals

Hi there!

So today's challenge is animals. I did have a vision in my head of doing something super cute based around pugs since they are, in my humble opinion, the greatest thing on this planet. Howeeeever.. I've had a cruddy day and my face somewhat actually resembles a pugs right now, in the sense that i couldn't have a bigger frown on if i tried.

So in order to replicate my mood on to my nails, and stick to the theme of course, there was only one solution. Grumpy Cat.

To create this manicure i used:

Various Acrylic Paints

Bring on the grumpiness!

I'm actually kind of pleased with how these turned out, and i must admit doing a fun manicure like this always cheers me up.. in a stressful this-has-to-be-perfect way. That's it for the challenges this week, so there's only one thing left to say..

"Grumpy cat, do you like my nails?"

33 Day Challenge: Abstract

Hello again!

So today is another challenge, this theme was abstract. Despite being such a vague concept, i was a little stumped! I ended up googling abstract art which led me to a few black and white pieces that caught my eye. So i went with a simple B&W design, with a few splashes of colour. I used primary colours because when i think abstract, i think Mondrian!

I'll be naming the polishes i use for mani's like this in the future as i think it's a lot easier to read. You might also notice a few tweaks to the blog in upcoming weeks, as i'm new i'm learning as i go so i hope you don't mind! Anyway, it's time for the pics..

So there you go, another challenge completed! I thought i'd have a little more fun with my photos today so i took a few sky shots :)
