Cute Molang Nail art!

Hello there!

So since my last post i've somehow managed to double my Facebook fans.. uhh what?! Thank you!
And how did i decide to repay this fan liking generosity i hear you ask? My going silent for a week. Hmm.

I can only apologise and make it up to you with this (and hopefully more) nail art posts. At the moment it seems as soon as i seem to pick myself up something just pops out of nowhere and i crash straight back down again. I'm trying to plod on through, and not let it effect me but if i'm honest all of my energy is going in to my job. Once i get home i'm straight in to my PJ's and either asleep or listening to sad music and playing the worlds smallest violin to myself.

Anywhom. Enough of self pity. I've kicked myself in to gear today and painted some cute Molang nail art for you guys! *yay something happy and not full of doooom*

Haven't heard of Molang? Shame on you. Check out this cute little bunny by clicking this linky majiggy.

For this look i used:
Claire's Accessories - Un named Blue, Green & Beige
Nails Inc - Red
Barry M - Black & White Nail Art Pens
Born Pretty - Matte Top Coat

Hey Scamp.. Whatcha think of my nails?
It's okay, i know you're excited really..

Oh and if you're wondering about the strawberries and ice cream, my nails were based around this Molang cartoon..

So that's it for today. Do you like this kind of nail art or do you prefer my simpler designs? I'd love to know so feel free to leave me a comment, and i'm always happy to have requests too! I'm sure i'll be creating some more Molang nails in the future, and Pusheen come to think of it :P

Thanks again for sticking with me during my low periods, let's hope they become few and far between.

Pastel Crackle Nails & A Blog Makeover!

Hello there!

So if you haven't noticed already, i've made a few changes to the blog! It's a little more to my taste now, but i still have a few little tweaks to make here and there. I've added links to the left for my Facebook page, Pinterest and Instagram links. My Instagram account is mainly devoted to my nails but you'll find a few snaps of my life included in there as well! I've also added a Popular Posts feature to the right hand side. I'm sure i'll end up changing it again sometime in the future but for now i'm happy.. I'd love to know what you think!

Now on to the nails. After seeing this beautiful manicure by Nail Polish Wars it really inspired me to use a crackle polish, something i've only ever done once before! I started with a blue base and sponged on a lilac and light blue polish over the top. I then used a white crackle polish for the middle and ring finger, then finished them with a little gold stud. I free handed the pattern on my index and pinkie with a nail pen, and topped it all off with a matte top coat!

For this look i used:
Avon Wet & Wild - Roaring Blue
Claire's Accessories - Lilac & Light Blue (both un named)
Claire's Accessories - White Crackle
Barry M - White Nail Art Pen
Born Pretty - Matte Top Coat

I've really been enjoying darker manicures at the moment so this was a nice change for me!
Hopefully you've noticed the changes to my photos now? I'm trialing the softer corners and i've also changed my watermark which has made my life so much easier.. no more typing out Pause For Polish on every photo!

I'd love to know your views on what i've posted today, whether it's on the blog/photo changes or the mani!
See you soon!

12 Days Of Christmas: All Wrapped Up

Hi there lovelies!

It's the 1st of December which means two things.. Firstly, i'm starting my own 12 Days of Christmas Advent Challenge! And secondly, i'm hosting my very first giveaway :D

I'll tell you more about the giveaway in a separate post, but let's crack on with today's manicure. These are the prompts for the 12 challenges, which i'll be posting every other day up until Christmas Eve. Anyone can join in, whether it's all 12 or just the odd one or two!

So today's challenge is a look based on a wrapping paper design. I chose this gorgeous design by John Lewis that you can purchase here

I loved its simplicity and colours, so went for a nice subtle mani to match.

To create this look i used:
Natural Collections - Unnamed Pink (2 coats)
W7 - Mirror Blue Mirror
W7 - Pink Suede
Claire's Accessories - Unnamed Pink
Born Pretty - Matte Top Coat
Barry M - White Nail Art Pen
Dotting tools

If i'm honest i'm not 100% happy with this manicure. I wish i'd left out the accent nails and just dotted them all the same. The matte effect did look beautiful though and it's definitely one of those mani's that just looks better in real life!

Stay tuned on the giveaway update,
Becky x
